Last sunday, I stopped by Madewell (1716 Walnut Street) for their Health + Wellness event. This was my first visit to the store since they opened last fall, but what a great opportunity to check out the new space + merchandise! Pure Barre, SipNGlo, & Sweet Freedom Bakery were also in the store to offer workout tips, healthy snacks, fresh juice Mimosas (w/Prosecco, yum!), and to sponsor prizes for the raffle. Madewell had a 25% off $125+ promotion running for the event, and I literally couldn’t resist the gorgeous accessories! I’ve been looking for some great layering pieces, and picked up some great ones – more on that later!
Yummy coconut clusters w/chocolate from Sweet Freedom Bakery (vegan & gluten free!)
With Kristin Lubsen, owner of Sip-N-Glo Juicery (932 South Street)
This was a blend of orange, pineapple, and carrot – made for a very refreshing Mimosa!
The store was gorgeous – very bright & open, full of classic prints, rich leathers, and simple jewelry that you can literally layer to your hearts’ content!
DJ Suga Shay spinning – she had adorable lime green turntables!
Pretty girls, fresh juice, and wall of shoes (p.s. dying over that asymmetrical pump!)
Funky, affordable sunglasses – none of them retailed for more $55!
I can only imagine how awesome this must smell – I didn’t sniff, but imagine it smells like the ocean! It’s not drying at all – minerals make it ultra-moisturizing!
Now for my favorite part… the jewelry! I’m actually not a huge jewelry person, opting for timeless, understated pieces over flashy/trendy/statement options. That said, I loved that Madewell’s jewelry line effortlessly blends together – you could pile a bunch of different things together & still not get overwhelmed. I also loved that some pieces have subtle embellishments that can be worn solo or with others to pump up the effect.
A whole pinboard of necklaces
I wanted to buy a billion of these leather id bracelets, but opted for just a single black one (on sale for $24.50)
All told, I added 4 layering pieces to my collection:
