I’m a HUGE animal lover, so when I had the opportunity to attend PSPCA’s Puppy Love event, I couldn’t say no! Held at the 23rd Street Armory, the space was packed full of adorable dogs, dog lovers, food trucks, and local businesses in an amazing show of support for PSPCA. Hosted by Smokin’ Betty’s & Devil’s Alley, highlights included cocktails (Absolut, Jameson & Malibu), appetizers (Mac Mart, Street Food Philly, Underground Donuts, SpOt Gourmet Burgers), a silent auction, live music, and the SPCA mobile adoption van. It was an absolute blast, check out my pics below!
Packed full of fun events & cute pups!
Love seeing well-dressed owners & well-groomed dogs
Marti (Owner, Mac Mart Truck), playing with Emily’s dogs (manager, Smokin’ Betty’s). PS – I had Marti’s mac, and I can’t think of anything else since… Definitely have to pay her a visit soon!
I LOVE great danes, and had to take a pic of this gorgeous girl – she’s a one year old rescue from the PSPCA!
He’s like a giant fluffy teddy bear!
Of course Duke & Winston had to make an appearance – their mascot is a bulldog!
The mobile adoption van was a hit – lots of dogs & cats available for adoption right there on the spot!
Always fun to see the Smak Parlor truck – I don’t think a more glamorous truck exists!
The Street Food Philly truck served this amazing pork belly/BBQ/Polenta-topped masterpiece that was incredible… Best polenta I’ve ever had!
Underground Donuts had 3 kinds of donuts, including one topped with BACON (!!), but I opted for this version with melted chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers. The donut itself was hefty in a satisfying way, and the toppings were a perfect complement.
