A (long) time ago, I experimented with a different way to approach Bantu knots & ended up loving the results.
When I first posted about the technique, I briefly explained what I did, but I admit that it’s definitely easier to pick up if you see it demonstrated. The above picture was featured on a number of hair accounts on social media, and my inbox was FLOODING with requests for a proper tutorial.
I knew I really should get my act together and make the tutorial, but it wasn’t until I got the opportunity to review the Red by Kiss Handle-Less 1875W Hair Dryer ($30) that inspiration struck.
The key to this style is blow-drying your hair until it’s 70% dry & relatively smooth, then allowing it to dry completely while in the wraps. The comb attachement that the dryer came with was perfect for that, and now I’m glad I waited! Check out the video up top, and revel in curly bantu wrap goodness with me! Let me know if you give it a go, I’m curious how it will work for other girls!
