This past sunday was absolutely gorgeous & the perfect opportunity to let the bunnies run around outside for the first time this year. I've taken Jack to public parks a whole bunch of times, but this would be Pepper's first time outside in her life. Pepper is a much faster runner and I didn't feel comfortable going to a public park for her first time. Instead, we hung out in my parent's backyard - perfect because it's big & open, so I could run her down if needed.
Jack did what he does best - chilled HARD. This guy can literally be comfortable anywhere, it's crazy! Nothing phases him!
And of course I couldn't resist giving his fluffy self some lovin'
I really didn't need to worry about Pepper - she had a blast! At first she hung out on the walkway, sniffing & exploring for a bit, then coming back to nudge my foot before running off again.
Then she jumped right into the grass & hung out there for a while, but always stayed close. I expected her to go bolting across the lawn, but she never did - guess she likes us =)
My sisters found a snake attached to a glue trap, along with the mouse he had been trying to eat. It was too late to save the mouse, but the snake was still alive, so the girls used olive oil to carefully get him off the trap, then released him at the edge of the backyard.
It was awesome to hang out in the sun for a while, and Pepper was a champ! Next time we'll try a park, but will stick to one that's not too busy for her first couple of times.
