Dr. Miracle's released a couple new products recently, and I was particularly excited to try their Miracle Repair system. I relax my hair every 6 weeks (give or take), and wanted to see how this new system would work on me.
A box retails for $5.99 and can be found at your local drug/beauty supply store. I think you can probably get 2-3 uses out of a single box if you're relaxed, but if you have a lot of hair or if your hair drinks product like a milkshake, you may only be able to get away with 1 use/box.
Side note: I'm really loving the new packaging style that Dr. Miracle's is rolling out - clear boxes with vibrant colors inside - love! The box has 3 packets inside, labeled in the order you should use them. First is a no-lather conditioning shampoo - I lathered & rinsed twice because I'm still not used to non-lathering shampoos, but my hair felt clean. Next was the DuoCare Reconstructor - it felt like a protein treatment and my hair felt kind of hard if that makes sense. It's absolutely imperative that you finish with the Intensive Moisturizing Masque to restore moisture to your hair after using the reconstructor. After I used all three packets, my hair felt smooth, moisturized, and a little slippery.
Quick shot with my hair soaking wet, fresh out of the shower - it didn't change my hair's texture at all, so naturals can use this too!
After blowdrying/styling as usual, I LOVED my hair! It felt thick, happy, & healthy =) I don't think I would use this monthly, but a quick rejuvenating session every few months would work well for me. Have you tried the Miracle Repair system? leave your experience in the comments below!
